I've Been Tagged!
Wow, I've been tagged by the beautiful dragprincess! I don't think I've ever been tagged before... at least not recently. I feel so included! So now I have to share my five weird habits. This should be fun.
- I have this thing about symmetry. For example, when I eat, I usually chew things the same number of times on each side. I don't count it (although I did when I was a kid), but I know if it "feels" off. Here's another, weirder example - if I tap my fingers, I tap them so that they make symmetrical patterns. It's easier to show than describe, but here's my go at it:
Get it? Hmmm... OCD, anyone?thumb-ring-pointer-pinky-middle,
middle-pinky-pointer-ring-thumb,
pinky-pointer-ring-thumb-middle,
middle-thumb-ring-pointer-pinky. - Like dragprincess, I also talk to my pets in a high-pitched, funny voice, although more baby-talk than lispy. I have a tendency to do it to Husband as well, although not as often. (Okay, you guys can stop gagging and vomiting now.)
- When I was a kid, I used to think that God had this huge book - the Big Book - and everytime I did something, God wrote it down. I'd be cleaning up my room or something mundane like that, and I could envision God, up there on some big cloud with a quill pen and big blank book, just writing every little thing down. How narcissistic was I - I thought God was my own personal biographer! Anyway, when I was eight or nine, I shared my belief to my great-grandmother, and she said, "Honey, that book's already been written." Shortly after that, I stopped thinking about the Big Book.
- I know a lot of people sing along with the radio or CD player or whatever when they drive, but when I do it, I sing the harmony line. In fact, usually I make up my own harmony line. Very rarely will I sing the melody.
- St. Anthony and I have a real connection. It's weird. Whenever anything is lost, if I say the St. Anthony prayer, it's found. I'm not kidding. When I was in Catholic school in ninth grade, my religion teacher called me AT HOME once to say the prayer, and sure enough, the lost item was found. I say the prayer quite often, but I always thank St. Anthony after the item has been found - I feel like if I don't thank him, he'll think I'm taking him for granted or abusing his help. Now, I've been told that my great-great-grandmother was a Catholic mystic and used to have visions, so it's quite possible it's in my blood. Either that or I'm just very good at finding things. But I will always credit that to St. Anthony.
Now comes the fun part - tagging people! I don't know who even reads this journal any more since I am so poor at updating, so here's hoping...

Life is good - still working, still running. Mother-in-law is officially moved in, and the transition has begun. More on that later. Hope you all are well, and I'm looking forward to reading about some extremely weird habits, my lucky five!
